This case illustrates Morpurgo’s conception of a child bedroom: it should not be designed only for sleeping but also to play and study. There is no functional division between the living area and the sleeping area, which was until that time considered indispensable and of great benefice to the general organization of the house. The recessed bed allows in this perspective the complete metamorphosis of the studio room.

Concerning the furnitures, large cupboards replace the richly decorated cabinets of a time. Morpurgo opted for the wood linoleum as a material and for the colors he chose to add green and salmon pink to the colour of natural wood. Moreover, one can notice that he camoufled the two doors with the same patterns as the wardrobe.
