“La Scala” house was designed between 1957-58 in Pavese near the Garda lake.

Vigano built the “La Scala” house for the director André Bloc, in 1956. It is characterised by two parallel surfaces of concrete, encircled by thin glassy diaphragms surrounding the living space, connected with the lake through the architectural promenade of the scale that develops a huge concrete beam around. The house is related with nature, but it is not to be overlooked, retaining a core of raw artificiality.
