Luigi Figini (1903 – 1984) and Gino Pollini (1903 – 1991) were two Italian architects of the twentieth century, linked by an association that lasted more than 50 years. Their stories are inseparable from one another and are linked to the works that they have designed together and implemented.

Figini and Pollini are in favor of rational design, which they carried out to completion during their years of cooperation, making them two of the most famous interior architects in Italy.

Their projects include constant search for balance between mainstream and modern form. They also put harmony and beauty in the center of their work. A perfect example of this is the Villa Manusardi.

The very simple and orthogonal interior plan is a really convenient way to satisfy all the daily needs of the Villa. The designers made sure that the people living in the Villa get comfort with functionnality

Furniture only complements the architectural assumptions. The whole artistry lies in pure and free of frills spaces combined with the most necessary items. The curtain used in the interior allows to freely design the space. This curtain is located in the middle of the room, in height to preserving the unity of the entire volume. Using the same material in the bed and the closet emphasizes the vertical and horizontal lines in the interior.

A basic bed and a wardrobe stand in the same room axis which emphasizes their importance.
