The Casa Figini is designed according to the principles of rationalism and the 5 points of modern architecture, introduced by Le Corbusier. The building is carried by pilotis, enforcing a freedom of horizontal circulation and ensuring a free circulation on the floor level. The pilotis are made out of concrete pillars, which are placed equidistant in both directions.
The upper part is designed with fenêtres a longueur, which give large panoramic views towards the environment. The plan of the house is enclosed in a golden rectangle (a ratio that measures the entire composition) of 18m x 5.5m. Another feature of the building is the large rooftop terrace, which gives the house a private space that can fully enjoy the sun and the views.
