Franco Albini italian architect, born Robbiate, near Milano in 17.10.1905, died in 1.11.1977. He studied at the Politecnico di Milano. He taked job in the office Erich Gio Ponti. he established himself in 1930.
In this project you can read a clear reference to the “house of steel frame”, which Albini and other young architects had made two years earlier for the V Triennale, under the guidance of Giuseppe Pagano, the director of “Casabella”. More generally, there can be traced an affinity with the Central-European avant-garde architecture, especially German and Scandinavian, noticeable in the solution devised by the internal staircase.
