In 1940, for the Villa Neuffer, Albini designed a staircase as a spatial object hung by slender tie rods that occupied the volume of the entrance atrium.

This and other examples show that Albini’s sensitive solutions were always rigorously verifiable, subject to tests of feasibility and usability.
